Gun Safe Moving Across Parker, Hood and Tarrant County

A gun safe puts several hundred pounds of steel into a narrow box with no handholds. Rolling one across tile, down a staircase or over a gravel drive with a furniture dolly and two friends is how floors get gouged and backs get hurt. Bolted safes add another problem, because the anchors have to come out cleanly and go back in at the new house.

Brazos Movers sends a safe crew with stair climbers, rated dollies and floor runners from the main office at 1305 Ranger Hwy in Weatherford or from the Granbury office. We move safes for homeowners and businesses across the three counties, as a stand-alone job or as part of a full household move.

How a Gun Safe Move Works

We start with the safe’s make, weight, whether it is bolted down and the route at both ends, including stairs, turns and a garage step. Photos of the path help us size the crew. On move day the crew walks the route with you, lays floor runners and pads door frames before touching the safe, tilts it onto the dolly, straps it upright in the truck and levels it in the room you chose at the other end.

What the Safe Crew Brings

Every safe job leaves the lot with heavy-duty safe dollies, a stair climber for interior staircases, ratchet straps rated for the load, floor runners, door-frame padding and the tools to unbolt a safe from concrete or wood and re-anchor it. The crew is sized to the weight and the route. In Aledo and Willow Park new builds, that usually means an upstairs closet, so the stair climber rides along by default.

What Drives Gun Safe Moving Cost

Weight sets the crew size. After that come bolts, stairs at either end, the carry from truck to door and the miles between addresses. Moved with the rest of the house, a safe is priced as a specialty item on top of our published price ranges, which start at $300 to $650 for a room or less. A stand-alone job, such as a store pickup or a driveway delivery in Keller, is quoted on its own.

Driveway Deliveries, Stairs and Gate Access

Many calls are not part of a full move. A freight carrier left a safe in the garage because curbside delivery was all the retailer included, or a private seller in Springtown needs one hauled off a gravel drive. We take these as stand-alone jobs. Our Granbury movers arrange gate codes for lake communities before the truck arrives, and our Fort Worth movers book the elevator and dock window for townhome deliveries. Our moving service areas page lists the rest.
